- What subject do you think is more important (science or social studies) and why?
I think the two subjects are equally important. Science helps our society advance in areas of technology, health, and exploration of our planet, universe, and oceans. Social Studies helps us understand other parts of the world, their cultures, and their governments. History is important because it helps us determine our future. We can study choices countries have made in the past, decide what was good about those choices, and use that information to make wise choices about our future.
- What subject do you like to teach more: social studies or science? Why?
I’ve taught science since I started teaching in Yutan. I prefer teaching science, although I have taught American history and enjoyed it.
- What’s your favorite movie? Who is your favorite actor and actress?
Although I don’t watch many TV movies, I enjoy going to the theater and watching movies. It is one of my hobbies. I have too many favorite movies, actors, and actresses to name just one. When I was a child, my mom would let me stay up late on Saturday night and watch movies with her. Two of my favorites from that time were Miracle on 34th Street and It’s a Wonderful Life. I still watch these today. They are replayed almost every Christmas.
- Have you ever been in a movie or play? If so, what was it and what was it like?
The only time I have been in a play was when I was in fifth grade. I played a pioneer.

1. What subject do you think is more important ( science or social studies) and why?
I feel science is more important subject because if we did not have science so much history, inventions, and the life would be so different. Therefore, social studies would not be nearly as exciting and interesting with out it. I do think that both subjects are important.
2. What subject do you like to teach better: science or social studies? Why?
I love teaching social studies. Through the years I have taught Canada, Latin, America, World civilizations, and American history. I think knowing about the past will help us learn how to handle the future of our country and world
3. What is your favorite movie? Who is your favorite actor and actress?
My favorite movie is Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. It stars John Candy and Steve Martin. These two guys have to travel from New York to Chicago before Thanksgiving. I love how different these guys are and how they become friends after quite an adventure together. My favorite actors are Tom Hanks and Kurt Russell. My favorite actresses are Cameron Diaz and Demi Moore.
4. Have you ever been in a movie or play? If so what was it and what was your experience acting?
Yes, I was in a one-act play in high school called The Statue. I played a statue that would come alive when a particular old lady would visit the museum. The tough part of the play was that I had to stand still for an entire hour except for the times I would wave at the old lady. The easy part of the play was that I didn't have any dialogue.
