Christmas in Sixth Grade

Written by: Andrew F., Andrew N., Nate F., Wyatt R.

Most people were very excited about Christmas.  This year, on the 21st of December, Mr. Jacobs’ 6th grade class hadChristmas a gift exchange and Christmas party.  The reason we had a gift exchange was to have fun, enjoy a gift, and to get into the Christmas spirit.  The best thing about it is we got to do it with our friends in our classroom.

On the same day the whole sixth grade faced some of the Yutan Elementary teachers in a game of volleyball.  The volleyball game was held in the school’s gymnasium.  The game was just for fun.  At the end of the game, all the 6th graders came onto the floor and faced the teachers using a giant inflatable ball.

Sixth grade teacher Mr. Jacobs stated, “I think the students had a tough time winning because they had to rotate so many players, but they did a nice job competing.”

This year, for ITBS Testing, the 6th grade set a goal to perform well and score high on the tests.  They completed their goals, and so they watched a fun movie; Cars.  As a reward, they also got popcorn and drinks.  Can you believe the 6th grade got to do this all in one day?

Sixth grader Danny .G stated, “ I think watching Cars is better than homework by a long shot.”
