Pharaohs
were the titles given to
the later kings of ancient Egypt. Ancient Egyptians believed
that the pharaoh was a god. In theory, the pharaoh owned all
the land and people in Egypt. In truth, priests and nobles
limited his power. Pharaohs' actions were governed by a set
of rules created by the gods.
